A little help from our friends...
Predator Trips is the main provider of our web hosting funds. Stewart runs this company and has been Senior Helmsman for many years. We are proud to have him as our main sponsor. Our other benefactor is the Southend Beach Hut Owners Association and they kindly fund the domain name itself.
This site was constructed with the aim of retaining Southend Lifeboat Station's history, photographic Timelines & stories which might otherwise be lost with the passage of time, it is additionally intended to provide a central information resource for anyone interested in our work. Many of the photographs here have been provided by Lance Garrard a former member of the lifeboat crew.Lance left the crew in 2002.Another great contributor to this site and many other RNLI websites around the country with his excellent photographs is Nick Leach. The reproductions on this site do not do his pictures full justice.
As well as our website supporters we would like to thank the many local companies who support the Southend Lifeboat itself by allowing certain staff to 'down tools' and respond to their emergency pagers at a moments notice. There are also many companies and individuals who often donate items or services, often without any public recognition, which may fall outside of the remit of central RNLI funding, and make the running of the Southend station that little bit easier for the volunteer crew. All these actions are very much appreciated. Thank you.
